Try a RIVER CITY MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY CARDIO KICKBOXING CLASS! Not only will you burn over 800 calories an hour, but you will learn some life saving self-defense techniques that you would not get in a traditional workout program. Wear your favorite workout clothes while you learn. There are no belts or uniforms, and very limited physical contact with the other participants or the instructor. You don’t need any experience, and everyone works at their own pace. Beginners are welcome! This will be the most fun you have ever had in a work out class! We are different from those other cardio kickboxing programs in that you will learn actual combinations
you could use on an attacker. Training not only includes punching and kicking combinations, but also resistance training by slipping on boxing gloves and punching the 100 lb. tai bags, along with crunches, push ups, repetitive kicks and a wide variety of other floor exercises to round out your fitness program. The “bag section” of the class is a favorite of many, and is also a great stress reliever! Every class will include a section of heavy bag usage. Our students have lots of fun in class and especially enjoy the personalized instruction from our 3rd Dan Black Belt instructor Sensei R. Torres, and the camaraderie of their classmates. Classes are one hour in length and may take a variety of formats to keep it fresh and exciting.
